Alice in Wonderland Magazine Project

Bookworm is a fictional magazine for bookworms by bookworms. This magazine would showcase a different book each month and feature article on it. The article could range from a new film coming soon or a history about the book itself on it's anniversary. This magazine would primarily be geared towards book lovers, writers, history lovers, etc.

Project 1: Ocean Diver Magazine

Ocean Diver magazine is a fictional diving enthusiast magazine. The magazine would feature articles about diving gear, coral reefs, underwater ecosystems, diving spots and the effect of climate change on the ocean. I used line in the design to guide the reader through the page and to establish unity throughout the design and also because divers actually follow diving lines down into the ocean. I kept my colors mainly to deep blues and greens to create a natural feeling of the ocean. Overall I was very pleased with final piece but i'm open to any criticism that anyone has.

I like how the front page is very unique, I really like the contrast on the first page. On the Project page I really enjoy the large text, one simple image, and the scrolling.

In this portfolio I like the single page aspect and how most of the images have a slight color box outlining or on top of the images.

I like this portfolio because it's very different than the other two. Each click to the front page show another example of their work, sometimes it is one picture but other times it will be one picture on top of another.

I think its funny that Wade Jeffrey's landing page features a video of him being hit in the face by a basketball on loop, and how the projects section features images that overlap and the images reveal in a full window carousel when you click on the images. Wade also has a similar motto to what mine is and that's, "At the end of the day I just want to make great things with great people."

Marleigh Culver portfolio is simple, but demonstrates how she uses color and type choices, combined with a simple layout and navigation which makes it why I like it.

The portfolio website Yul Moreau created is unique. I like how the single-page site does a brilliant job of showcasing the artists work, combining video, images and brilliant scroll effects to show everything off nicely.

I like how the portfolio is separated between his personal and professional work. It doesn’t have all of his work mixed together.

I like The clean and simple design of this portfolio. The use of color for each section provides variety for each time you scroll down.

I really liked the muted tones and black background for this portfolio it provides a lot of contrast against their color portfolio pieces.

This portfolio had an interesting scroll down interaction that I enjoyed. It was also a very simple and creative way to display their art work.
