Mount Wachusett Community College, in Gardner MA offers a 2-year program for Graphic and Interactive Designers (GID program). The final course in the GID program helps students assemble and present their best work produced in the program. I really like how this came out John. One thing I would change is move the image down because there is a lot of space at the bottom. If it cannot go any lower I would then just crop the bottom so that it doesn't leave the empty space. Overall nice job man!
Yes - enlarge her portrait so it can bleed top and bottom. Can you read the body copy? I can't - so use a lighter value, rather than black. It doesn't have to be white... it could be her face color. Is her blouse drawn in a way that is descriptive of the form? I suspect you could do better.
