Logo and business card

I wanted to share my logo and business card; after many attempts I finally think I got a logo that works for me. Coni already seen this logo and suggested changes, so I am posting the before and after of it in case you did not get a chance to glance at it. I wanted to use my first and last initials of my name to create the D shape which the name of my company will be DOC DESIGNS.

My business card design is contemporary and is very simple; thin enough to fit in your pocket and heavy enough to make an impact. Front has the embossed Logo and the back with the text balanced down the center on matte stock paper. I added an emboss effect on the logo on the front just to show that I will have the logo embossed on my physical business card. All feedback is appreciated thank you.
