So here is the rough draft of the poster for the Worcester County Fair and 4-H with content.
I think that this could fall on either end of the scale; either too busy, or perfect for the fair theme and if you guys could let me know which end it falls on and how I could improve it, that would be great!

So, the fancy display font works really well at the top - although the W appears to be smaller than the C and the F. It needs to be the same size, right?
ReplyDeleteSo, you need to find a complimentary font to use in the space below. Making a contrast between heading and the rest of the content will help us read this (so the 2nd font needs to be more readable), and since the current display font takes up way too much room down there... it will give you some more room to add photos of animals. It's a fair... lots more than goats! Horses, cows, pigs, sheep... lots to choose from.
If you really don't want to change the font for ALL the type in the central area, then think about reducing and eliminating the drop cap on the dates. That will help calm this down a bit, but keep it fun. Remember - drop caps need a few full lines below them to make sense. Good cut out of goat!! More more more!
